A Fox News Politics poll released July 1 finds Jon Ossoff ahead of Mike Collins by 13 points, with inflation identified as voters’ top concern.
A new Fox News Politics poll released Tuesday offers an early look at the Georgia U.S. Senate race scheduled for 2026, showing Democrat Jon Ossoff leading Republican Mike Collins by 13 percentage points. The survey, published by Fox News Politics on July 1, places inflation at the top of voters’ stated concerns.
According to the Fox News poll, Ossoff’s lead over Collins stands at 13 points in the Georgia Senate matchup. The poll is presented as an “early look,” indicating it is not a final snapshot of voter sentiment as the race develops.
The same Fox News poll identifies inflation as the leading issue among respondents. In the survey’s framing, voters’ economic concerns are positioned as a central factor that could shape priorities heading into the campaign.
The poll’s release comes as attention begins to shift toward the 2026 cycle in Georgia and other competitive states, where party officials and candidates typically use early polling to gauge issue salience and baseline support.
For candidates, the poll’s reported issue ranking is likely to affect how they frame their messages on costs for households, price stability, and the broader economy. Inflation as a top concern can influence which policy themes get emphasis in public appearances, advertising, and debate agendas.
For voters and election administrators, early polling also serves as a reference point for how campaigns may approach outreach and messaging. However, early polls can change as candidate information, campaign developments, and current events shift voter priorities over time.
The Fox News poll does not, by itself, determine how the Senate election will be decided. The race will be decided by voters in Georgia in 2026, with campaigning and public policy debates expected to intensify as the election approaches.
