Jefferson County election officials have launched a new drive-thru voting option for the upcoming midterm election, offering voters an additional way to cast ballots without entering a traditional polling room. The program will run for three days of early voting and will continue on Election Day, according to WAVE (WDRB).
Drive-thru voting stations are being set up at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, an approach officials say is intended to streamline the voting process. The county’s decision to add a drive-thru track comes as local election administrators continue to manage turnout, staffing, and public safety logistics for in-person voting.
