The streamer confirmed a fourth season for Shane Gillis’ single-camera workplace comedy, which will be covered by a previously disclosed two-season renewal connected to Gillis and co-creator John McKeever’s overall agreement with Netflix.
Netflix confirmed that its workplace comedy “Tires,” created around Shane Gillis, will return for a fourth season. The announcement comes as the series continues its run on the streaming platform, with Netflix characterizing the new installment as part of a broader multi-season commitment rather than a standalone renewal decision.
Deadline reported on Aug. 31, 2026, that the pickup for Season 4 is included in a two-season renewal covering Seasons 3 and 4. The same report tied the renewal to Netflix’s overall deal with Gillis and with fellow “Tires” co-creator John McKeever.
According to the report, the current third season was already underway at the time of Netflix’s latest confirmation, following the earlier renewal structure. Deadline’s update frames the decision as a continuation of Netflix’s longer planning around the series and its creative team, rather than a mid-cycle reassessment after early performance indicators.
“Tires” is described by Deadline as a single-camera comedy, a format that typically differs from multi-camera workplace sitcoms and depends on edited performances and scene-level setups. The renewal for another season extends the show’s production cycle and increases the volume of scripted content associated with the Gillis and McKeever relationship with Netflix.
The renewal structure also affects how the series will be scheduled for release. With Seasons 3 and 4 covered together, Netflix’s programming strategy for the show is set across multiple batches of episodes, which can influence marketing timing and how the platform bundles new comedy releases for viewers.
Neither the Deadline report nor Netflix’s confirmation, as summarized there, introduced details in this specific update on premiere dates for Season 4, episode counts, or any changes to cast, writing, or production leadership. Netflix did not provide, in the account cited, additional terms beyond the confirmation that the fourth season is included within the two-season renewal.
Deadline’s Aug. 31 report adds that Netflix’s action is connected to the existing overall deal context between the streamer and the show’s key creators. That means the decision is not treated as an isolated series contract, but as part of a continuing creative-and-development arrangement that supports additional seasons of the workplace comedy.
