The Swiss festival’s expanded slate includes several high-profile titles, with “Babies” booked for its European premiere.
The Zurich Film Festival has expanded its lineup with new additions including Danny Boyle’s “Ink,” the documentary “Club Kid,” and the film “Bunker,” according to a report published on August 31, 2026 by The Hollywood Reporter. The announcement also includes “Babies” by director Lauren Miller Rogan, which the festival is presenting as a European premiere.
The inclusion of “Ink” places Boyle’s latest feature into the festival’s program as organizers continue to draw international titles with recognizable creative teams and established cast. The report does not provide further plot or casting details for “Ink” in the material reviewed for this story, but it identifies the film as part of the newly announced Zurich Film Festival slate.
“Club Kid,” also listed among the added titles, is described in the report as a documentary. The festival’s decision to program the film reflects the festival’s broader practice of mixing feature films with documentary work, bringing different formats to the same audience and industry programming stream.
Another of the newly announced additions is “Bunker.” The report frames the title as one of multiple films added to the Zurich Film Festival lineup in the current update cycle, without detailing its full premise in the excerpt reviewed here.
The most detailed casting information in the lineup update concerns “Babies,” which the festival will present for its European premiere. Lauren Miller Rogan directs the film, which stars her husband, Seth Rogen, along with Anna Kendrick, Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, and Sharon Stone, according to the report.
The decision to book “Babies” for its European premiere indicates the film’s debut in that regional market will be tied to the festival’s industry and public-facing audience, a common approach for filmmakers seeking early distribution momentum and critical attention outside the film’s initial release geography.
The Zurich Film Festival lineup update comes as the festival prepares to welcome international creators and audiences to Switzerland, with the newly added titles increasing the variety of genres and star-driven projects represented in the program. Festival organizers typically follow these announcements with individual screening confirmations and press materials closer to each film’s showing date, though those specific schedules were not included in the report material reviewed for this story.
For filmgoers and industry professionals following the festival, the added slate provides additional high-profile screening opportunities, including a European premiere for “Babies.” The next step for the public is to confirm the films’ specific screening dates, venues, and ticketing availability through the festival’s official listings once they are published.
